danger: fatigued driver

hello friends and happy (late) thanksgiving. this is my favorite time of year... not Christmas where panic, frustration and stress are in full swing. autumn is so chill, laid back and lovely. ps: i'm obsessed with scarves as of late and it is my goal to wear one everyday... i'm doing pretty good so far.

okay so i drove to and from vegas this weekend for the holiday. i sometimes have a problem while driving because i get so tired. i never doze off and crash or anything but sometimes it's a battle to keep my eyelids open. i'm not bragging about this. i am embarrassed. i will have the music on loud, singing along and sometimes carrying on a conversation... the eyes begin closing. SO weird... what do you guys do to stay awake?

the thing that is SO annoying about this... not the fact that i am "fatigued" or "drowsy." but when i run into a gas station to get some caffeine to stay alive, the fountain drinks SUCK. i'm serious, i need to learn to take a sip before i buy it and get on the road and the "soda" is flat, warm and completely terrible. MY life, the lives of my passengers and other drivers is at stake here! am i asking for too much? please provide me with a decent beverage with plenty of caffeine to get me through the drive. i don't drink soda so one 24 ounce dr. pepper is enough. simple.

my nana informed us of this thing that everyone should have on their phone. it's called ICE: in case of emergency. if i was to get in an accident (maybe due to fatigued driving) whoever finds me can call 911 and then the number programmed under ICE to notify family of the accident and what not. so kelsey and i listed our mom's cell number under ICE. now everytime my mom calls us, the name "ICE" appears on the phone and not "mom cell." i was away from my phone today and kelsey was like, "whit! ICE is calling!"

three more weeks of classes... STOKED about that. oh and my cousin taylor dyed my hair today. it is brown... the red from a while back is gone and i am happy!

These are not the words a mother wants to hear. Try going to bed before 2 am and stay away from the Nyquil, whitney. Now I am a nervous wreck about a trip that's four weeks away.
